Today we received the e-mail from SLC with the names of the new couple that have been called to take our place. They are Elder Rodney and Marcia Ford. They are from Bountiful, UT. Hna. Johnson spent about an hour of the phone with them and learned some really neat things about them. This will be their fourth Senior Couple mission. Previously they served missions in New Jersey and two missions to Spain. We are delighted and excited to have them come to the Dominican Republic and take our place in the Santo Domingo West Mission office.
Today I did another “last” before we go home. I went to “Codetel” which is one of the Dominican phone companies, to pay our personal phone bill for the last time. Elder Huey and I went to the Mission Home to collect the data from the mission home vehicles to write up the monthly vehicle report for the last time. It is hard to believe that we will be home in less than 3 weeks.
