Today is our anniversary. Thirty nine years ago today Hna. Johnson and I were married for time and all eternity in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Since then we have done so much and seen so much that it seems so long ago but yet it feels like it was only yesterday. Now we are in the Dominican Republic serving a mission for the Lord and enjoying every minute of it. We love our mission and working with the missionaries, the members and the investigators. There isn’t any place we would rather be than right here and right now.

And it goes without saying that we love our sons, our daughter-in-laws and our grandchildren. Their support and love is what keeps us going and literally makes our mission possible. We wouldn’t be here on a mission if it weren’t for them and their tireless hard work. We love them very much.

To celebrate our anniversary we had “Dinner and a Movie”. Well sort of… we went out to dinner at the Dominican Fiesta Hotel buffet. It is one of our favorite places to eat. Hna. Johnson had steak and I had their grilled Salmon, Mmm Goood. Of course I ate way too much and I even had thirds of the yummy dessert.

Back at our apartment we watched two movies we borrowed from Pres. & Hna. Harris, Temple Pres. & Matron. Their apartment is at the “Casa” so yesterday after FHE we borrowed “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Singing in the Rain”. We really enjoyed our anniversary.
