This morning I made a special trip to the Aduana (Customs) to pick up packages. Last week there were so many I’ve decided to get a jump on them this week and go when I have more time. Friday is very busy but Thursday isn’t so rushed. However it may have been a mistake. By the end of the day we received phone 2 phone calls from the Aduana that there were packages that required special handling and one required $150.00 to get it out of the Aduana. That’s a lot, usually packages only cost between $3.00 and $6.00 each. Now it looks like I’ll be going back anyway.

There has been a change in the office Elders. Elder Staff and his companion come into the office several times a week to input baptism records into the office computer. His companion, Elder Espinola from here in the Dominican Republic, has been transferred to Duvergé. That’s great; Hna. Johnson and I will get to see him out there. Elder Staff’s new companion is Elder Colby from SLC, UT.
