This morning Hna. Johnson and I had the rare opportunity to sleep in. It was great, we didn’t get out of bed until after 8:00am. After breakfast we were off to the “Botanical Gardens” here in the capital. We checked yesterday and the internet said they are open 365 days a year. But when we got there the parking lot was empty and the Gardens were closed. I notice the front gate was open a little and there was a person walking inside. I asked a security guard when the gardens would be open and he said they were closed all day but we were welcomed to walk inside but there were no services available.
We were delighted to go in and enjoy the whole park all to ourselves! All morning we came across a few other couples walking the paths.
The gardens were beautiful. We spent a couple of hours there and took tons of pictures. Next time we’ll go when they are open so we can get a map and ride the guided tour tram, etc.
What a treat! Thank you for taking so many beautiful pictures. That's the kind of New Years day I would enjoy.
