From the moment I arrived in the office at 8:00am until I left after 6:00pm I was on the computer updating the mission information in IMOS (Internet Mission Office System). When the conversion team in SLC converted all of our data for use in IMOS there are naturally mistakes and info that does not convert correctly. Some of it is even humorous. For example there were 3 areas where all of the companionships were mixed, that is; Elders and Sister together as companions! The office staff & I got a good laugh as we noticed which Elders the computer had assigned the Sisters to.

My biggest job today was uploading all of the current pictures of the Elders and Sisters into the data base. All of the pictures in IMOS are the old ones taken from the missionary application. They are very old and in many cases funny or goofy poses, certainly not mission appropriate pictures. All 184 pictures of the current Elders and Sisters in the mission had to be prepped and uploaded. It was a huge job. Depending on the picture’s size, some of the uploads took from a few seconds to several minutes to complete.

Today we received the last of the shipments of bed frames to the office. For the past couple of weeks we have been stockpiling furniture. Our next transfer is January 5th. We are getting in 20 new missionaries and only loosing 5. With the addition of the extra 15 we will have 195 missionaries in the mission, a new record high. We will need the new beds, mattresses, desks, chairs, etc. for the new houses we will have to open to accommodate them. Every room in the Elders apartment (they live below the mission office) was stuffed full of furniture and supplies.
