This morning we found a new store named Rosarios, full of craft supplies and things Hna. Johnson needs for designing flowers as well as working with sea shells. Elder & Hna. Whitaker from the East mission took us there as soon as they opened this morning. The Whitakers shop there a lot for their craft items. We will be back.
Next we went to “Freddy’s at the “Yellow Steps” store. We needed to pick up a souvenir spoon for Elder Bates. He’s leaving for home on Tuesday and he needed the spoon to give to his mother. She collects souvenir spoons from all over the world.
This evening we went out to dinner with 5 other couples from the “Casa”. We went to the “Outback” restaurant at the “Acropolis” Mall here in downtown Santo Domingo. This is our second time to eat at the Outback with other Seniors. (See Saturday June 26, 20010) We had a lot of fun, it was good food, good company and good conversation. Afterward we all went to the movie “Knight and Day”. I enjoyed it but it would have been better if they had left out the profanity.
