After our block of meeting with the members in Neyba we have 4 hours before the block starts in Duverge. So we took a different road to Duverge. It was a scenic drive all the way around Lake Enriquillo. The lake is noted for a couple of things. First it is 47 feet below sea level, which makes it the lowest place in all of the Caribbean. Even though it is saltier than the ocean, it is full of fish and other wildlife. The second thing it is noted for is its native population of American Crocodiles. It is one of the few places outside of Florida where they exist naturally in the wild. As we drove the road we saw signs warning motorist not to hit these endangered crocodiles.
