Elder Wilford Anderson, 1st Counselor in the Caribbean Area will be touring our mission for the next two days. He called a special meeting today for all of the missionaries serving in the capital. AP’s & Zone leaders will meet at 9:00am, Sister Missionaries at 10:30 and all of the missionaries at 1:00pm. Tomorrow he will be in Azua and have a mission conference with all of the missionaries in “El Campo”.

Hermana Johnson and I started our day at 8:00am with Elder and Sister Anderson and all of the senior couples in the mission. That means the meeting was with Hna. Johnson & I, Elder & Sis. Turkovich (they are CES missionaries; they teach institute), Pres. & Hna. Almonte and Elder & Sis. Anderson. That’s right, counting our mission president & his wife, there are only 3 senior couple in this mission.

We met in a classroom in the “La Paz” chapel here in the capital. There were so few of us that we put the chairs in a small circle and had a very informal, intimate, personal meeting with the Andersons. It was wonderful sitting with a General Authority and listen to him teach and inspire. Elder Anderson is a wonderful, inspired church leader, just like President Almonte. The Lord has very good men directing his church in this part of the vineyard. We are very fortunate to be serving here in the Dominican Republic with such great leaders.
