It’s been interesting day. This morning at 4:30am six of our elders left for the airport for their 7:00am fight home. They were all going to Miami for a layover and then part company and each go his own way home. WELL…. That WAS the plan. A few minutes into the flight the pilot heard a bang, turned the plane around and went back to Santo Domingo. They found out the noise was from an air conditioning unit on the plane that broke. They didn’t get a flight out of Santo Domingo until 5:30pm. Sister Johnson spent a lot of time on long distance phone calls with anxious parents all over the country. She said she’s going to be lifelong friends with these mothers considering how much time she spent on the telephone with them.
